Nutrition- what it all means
In the fitness industry all over the world, nutrition is full of misconceptions, lies, and misdirected making information. It is mostly full of confusion and unclarity. So a lot of people ask where they should start. And that is why we are covering this topic today. To clear things up and give you the clarity you need about nutrition and the basics of it.
With so many diets out there available to anybody. The Atkins, paleo, Keto, south beach, grapefruit, zone, cabbage soup diet, and so much more. Yes you read that right, there is such a thing of as cabbage soup diet. And this is where there is a lot of confusion and lack of clarity out in this world about this topic.
So where should I start? What should I eat? People asks us these questions all the time, and honestly it all comes down to what you put in your body and what you want your body to be capable of working out or just in general performance. You have to understand one thing before we get started: you are what you eat! So, whatever you put in pour body will affect your entire body, digestion, and function.
Real Food = Energy
When you are eating real food, your body will automatically get some energy out of it and not crash after a couple of hours. When you are eating all of the processed foods, your body will go into ‘sugar rush’ and will crash after a couple hours of consuming it. Making your body exhausted and not wanting to do more for the rest of the day. Real food on the other hand will not give you that crash which means you will be able to do more throughout the entire day.
If you want your body to have more energy, workout more, and recover faster from those long days you might be having. Then you need to put good food into your mouth and stomach. While a teenager can get away with eating chips and pop tarts and be completely fine, it is unlikely that a 35 year old will be able to do the same. Not to talk about giving you some heart burns, and if you have been eating like that your entire life you most likely will get diabetes, arthritic, and be very gassy. So, like we said earlier, it all comes down to eating REAL food. Real food like meat, fruits, vegetables, and sometime a high quality grain.
We are not trying to get all about the macronutrients, food timing, or weight loss methods with this post. We are just trying to make you aware and convey you the idea that you need to be eating high quality substances if you want to get more out of your body. Not just you can better perform; you will be able to live a healthier and longer life!
Basic Healthy Tips
- Shop the perimeter of your local grocery store.
The produce, dairy, and meats areas. Everything else in the store is full of nutrients stripped grains, preservatives, and food technology that the companies use to keep you addicted. Think about this; real food won’t last for 2 years on a shelf.
2- If it wasn’t on earth hundreds of years ago then DO NoT eat it! Your body doesn’t know what to do with all the new modern foods, and can react very badly to all of the fake stuff. The leading cause to inflammation and diseases comes from the loads of toxins, aspartame, and artificial flavoring that puts a huge stress on your entire body.
3- Drink only water, fresh squeezed juices, or even green tea. Everything else that you have been drinking is pretty much sugar, and provides no nutrition at all to your body. Even the already made smoothies are not good for you.
4- Stay away from anything made with these ingredients: white flour, white table salt, white sugar, and pasteurized milk. All of these ingredients take the energy out of your body and do nothing for your overall health.
5-Read ALL the ingredients when buying something. If it has hydrogenated anything, trans-Saturday fats, high fructose corn syrup, MSG, BHT, Canola oil, soy oil, vegetable oil, sunflower oil, BHA, food colorings. The you should NOT be eating it!
Your body needs a lot
You need to know that fitness and in general our body demands a lot out of you because of the wide range of exercises that is used for day to day activities. The demands on joints, muscles, and energy systems is used a lot when working out. So if you want to use the most out of your body, and be to the best capability that you can, heal your tissues and muscles faster, get stronger, and help your digestive system; then quit the unhealthy and fake stuff. And start putting REAL food into your body. Things like vegetables, fruits, proteins, and some grains are to be eaten.
Quit believing in the healthy version of this or of that. Because in reality all is unhealthy unless it is REAL food. And then you can cook it and eat it however you want. But the main ingredients is actually real and not processed or packaged.
Here are a couple things to being healthy, and having a better overall lifestyle. If you follow these tips, trust me yo will feel so much more energized and be ready to conquer the day.
